EMDR

EMDR is an evidence based treatment for trauma processing. It involves bilateral stimulation, either through lights and a HIPAA confidential tool for telehealth sessions, or in person eye movement and/or butterfly tapping. I practice attachment focused EMDR. It is extremely important to me that each of my clients is comfortable and feels prepared to start trauma treatment. Diving into and processing trauma is already a daunting task so we will take time together to curate a personalized plan of treatment moving through this process at a pace that feels safe. Self-care is an important component while processing trauma and throughout the healing process so we will also spend a bit of time planning this as well and what the most effective care looks like for you!
